If all the languages that currently use the Latin alphabet, instead use the...?

IPA (international phonetic alphabet), would the language be easier to learn? For instance French, so many silent letters and the same with english, if for instance those 2 language used the IPA instead of their current alphabet, would they be easier to learn and read? Considering the IPA is USED to help people pronounce the words. What do you think?
